Magnolia Bakery, New York
The only bakery in the world where the queue is like waiting to get into Studio 54. This little NYC gem went viral before that was a thing; ladies were lining up for those cupcakes like they were trying to get one of those Love Shack Fancy x Gap pieces last week. It’s got the quintessential charm and in-the-knowness of the city whilst being a place celebrated and enjoyed by New Yorkers and tourists alike.
Félix Cocktails et Cuisine, Charleston
Heyyy, did you want a lobster deviled egg? Oh, you definitely do. Félix wants to SERVE them to you. Charleston has really seen a seachange of growth and cultivation of its already tremendous dining and drinking scene over the past few years and Félix is one of the standouts. Yes it’s on King Street but it’s Upper King, so it’s got a lil’ edge to it, no? The design is lovely, more modern French than French French, and it serves everything from brunch to late night. Cocktails are key, and we recommend a classic like the Boulevardier or a Kir Royale.
Tuscany, Italy
Yes, we all just want to melt into the Italian countryside and eat all the bread and all the olives and drink all the wine. So that’s obvious and you probably want the matchbook print if you’ve been. There are, however, some really neato off-the-beaten trail spots that are worth the effort, if you enjoy efforting. Did you know that you can actually tour the quarry we get all that Carrara marble from? If you head to Colonnata you can do that and score some Lardo di Colonnata.
Nikki Beach, St. Barths
Nikki Beach - yes - of course. Yas sparklers. Yas CHILL HOUSE MUSIC or UNCHILL HOUSE MUSIC. Yas lobster. That’s the beach. Would you like to party on a hilltop? Head to Le Ti. I’m not saying you WILL see Kate Moss, but I’m not saying you won’t. If, for some reason, you’re looking for a little Greek vibez, you may want to pop into Shellona. It’s giving Ibiza and Mykonos energy - and guess what? We have matchbook prints for those too!
