What’s the difference between Wallpaper and Removable Panels?

Removable Panels are a proprietary self-adhesive backed wallpaper that has the look and feel of traditional wallpaper—but can be easily removed.  It's made of 100% non-toxic materials with absolutely no PVC.

How removable are Removable Panels?

Removable Panels use a low tack adhesive that creates a temporary bond with the wall surface. The beauty of our paper is that it will remove with ease as soon as you are ready. Just peel back from a corner slowly. For best results we suggest adhering to walls with primer, egg shell, satin, gloss or semi-gloss paint. If you have 'non-stick' paint on your walls, or a paint containing Teflon, removable panels will not adhere to the surface (nor will any peel and stick wallpaper).

What’s so special about Furbish's paper? 

The paper is 100% paper, non-woven wall covering print media reinforced for strength and durability. Its environmentally responsible construction supports two LEED credits. The product is dimensionally stable and tear-resistant with a bright white surface. Our manufacturer also uses a proprietary latex ink system that is completely nontoxic, chemical-free and completely safe for child applications as well.  They source sustainable, raw materials and strive to incorporate sustainable practices throughout the manufacturing process thus reducing our carbon footprint.

How much should I order?

Figure out the square footage of your space and round up by 15%. Then refer to the style on our site, where you'll find the square footage per roll or panel listed in the details. Email us with any questions at info@furbishstudio.com. A professional installer can provide exact quantities required for your project.  Removable panels vary in size, so refer to the details on each style. We cannot be responsible for incorrect quantities ordered.

What's a "repeat"?

A repeat refers to the way a design duplicates itself to make a pattern. Our designs are either half-drop or straight repeats. Half-drop repeats match seamlessly when rolls or panels are connected at the halfway point of the adjoining design:

How should wallpaper paper be cared for? 

Our papers can be wiped down using a water-dampened microfiber cloth. Please keep in mind that harsh scrubbing or chemical cleaners can damage the ink on your beautiful paper.

What if I under-ordered and need more?

Each order is custom printed, so there might be slight variations in color from order to order. This is due to the nature of the print process and the paper. ​If you need to order additional rolls or panels, you may notice a slight difference. A professional installer can provide exact quantities required for your project. We cannot be responsible for incorrect quantities ordered.

Is the removable paper meant only for walls?

Absolutely not! Furbish's papers can be used for virtually any application. Our removable Panels can be used as drawer liners, bookshelf panels, ceilings, backsplashes and stair risers. If you have any design ideas, email us so we can share with all our customers.
